Jambon Beurre - city ham, parsley butter, aged white cheddar on PQB Baguette

Jambon Beurre:

1 demi baguette

5oz sliced PQM deli ham

2oz  aged white cheddar, cut into little chunks (we use Prairie Breeze 9 month It's a crumbly cheese so it's easier to cut into bits than to slice)

Parsley Butter (recipe below)


Parsley Butter:

-1 Stick of room-temperature butter

-1/4 cup chopped parsley

-2 Tablespoons of ice water

-Zest of one lemon

-Pinch of salt

Blend ice water and parsley. Add butter, lemon zest and salt.


How to Assemble:

1. Toast baguette in 400 degree oven for 5 minutes

2. Cut baguette length wise- - It should be crusty on the outside and just warmed through the middle

3. Generously slather both cut sides of the baguette with parsley butter

4. Sprinkle cheese along bottom half, on top of butter

5. Drape ham slices over cheese

6. Close sandwich, cut in half and serve
